Princess on track: 6 record-breaking months, 6 new models for 2019

British shipyard Princess has unveiled ambitious plans to update its model range.

Amid record financial results for the first six months of 2018, the yard will launch six new models by next year.

Among the new products is the R35 speedboat, created in collaboration with America's Cup car engineers «» from the Ben Ainsley Racing team. Itboat has been repeatedly told about this beautiful foils-fuelled motorboat which can reach up to 50 knots.

Antony Sheriff, Executive Chairman of Princess Yachts, promises that the new «models will raise the bar much higher with their extensive use of modern technology, materials, architectural concepts and design».

«We hope to set high standards for yacht builders for years to come»," he said.

Princess revenues were up 50% in the first half of 2018 compared to the same period last year. The order book for 2018 is 100% full and for 2019 it is 75% full. The company has expanded its workforce by 700 people since January. Princess' workforce is expected to grow to a record 3,000 employees in the next 12 months. The shipyard's production volumes are up 30%. It plans to launch 300 yachts this year.
