The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, also known as ADIBS, has become an increasingly popular destination for yachting enthusiasts worldwide. The fourth edition was held from November 24 to November 27. It occupied an impressive 42,000 square metres, an increase of 55% over the previous year.

The number of participating companies and brands also increased by 55%, with over 548 domestic and international brands in attendance. Additionally, the number of participating countries increased by 57%, with 44 countries presented.

The show featured international brands such as Absolute YachtsRiva and Ferretti Yachts from Italy. Among others, Sunreef Catamarans from Poland, Mayla Yachts and SAY Yachts from Germany, Evo Yachts from Italy, Axopar from Finland, Merry Fisher from France and Sea Ray from the USA. There were also several local manufacturers, such as Gulf Craft. The show provided a platform for both domestic and international companies to showcase their latest products and innovations in the boating, fishing, and water sports industry.

According to Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC, the show's success reflects its crucial role in marketing domestic and global companies' products in the region. The show also allowed networking with people across the sector on a large scale.

The ADIBS also included eight entertainment activities, such as the flyboard championship, model boat shows, amazing stunts by Aquabike World Champion Rashid Al Mulla, and free boat trips for all visitors. The show is in its fourth edition and attracts more visitors each year.

ADIBS — the show's structure

On day one of the show, ADNEC Group inaugurated the new waterfront Marina Hall — a multipurpose waterfront area considered the only hall of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa. This venue makes Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre the only one in the region capable of holding indoor, outdoor, and maritime events at the same time.

The venues of the ADIBS also became home to "Maritime Dialogues" — panels allowing visitors and participants to learn about the latest news and facts related to sustainability. The show's Fishing Pass also taught children basic fishing skills, while the Sea Art event presented visitors with live art shows and interactive underwater experiences.

Worth mentioning that just four days before the ADIBS show, the neighbouring Yas marina circuit hosted the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The event attracted famous superyachts, further emphasising Abu Dhabi's growing reputation as a world-class yachting destination.
